Orders
Clear Channel has their own order placing system, in which I have made several UI additions and UX updates. As this product is internal facing and serves our Account Executives mostly, the requests and requirements are provided by business operations stakeholders. While the UI framework is pretty rigid, I took the opportunity to improve the UX and UI through these feature additions and changes.
Renewals
A business problem was identified where campaigns eligible for a Right of First Refusal renewal were not consistently being offered back to those clients. The solution itself was straightforward: partially automate the creation of the renewal-eligible order.
When a user books a campaign that qualifies for renewal, a second order is automatically created and linked to the original (parent) order. This ensures renewal opportunities are captured without requiring additional manual steps.
The most obvious implementation would have been to add a link in the order header. However, I noticed the header layout was already doing too much. Important actions were hidden behind a menu drawer, and the overall hierarchy made it harder than necessary to understand the status of an order at a glance.
So, in addition to adding a link to the parent order, I reworked the UI to surface all available actions more clearly, free up visual space, and reduce reliance on hidden menus. This update allows users to quickly understand the state of their order and take the appropriate next action with minimal cognitive effort.
